So, our bathroom was decimated by the giant leak a few weeks ago. Mike has been working to fix it. Once he got the drywall up, we had some issues about tile. Mostly that I wanted tile that would give use a wee shower stall that cost over $2000 dollars. Mike was patient and we settled on the very cool tile for the floor of the shower and the less expensive white tile (which when it came down to it, I LIKE white). I think it's going to be really nice when/if we finally finish. Here's the drywall and the floor tile just laid out. This is the floor of the shower, just tossed in there, not tiled or grouted yet, but isn't it pretty? I love the colors. Humor me, just nod and smile. This is what Mike accomplished today. I'm thrilled. I think this bathroom might actually be something we both like when it's finished. It's always been so blech and hard to clean and just oogy. Cross your fingers.More updates to come!
Ever have a day where you think "I give up, I'm just unlikeable." That's how my week has been going. I'm 42 years old and I think I should be past feeling like I"m in middle school, but this past week has left me in a wrinkled, saggy sack who feels just like I did in 7th grade - only less perky. Isn't it just nuts? I mean I have real bras now, not those silly t-shirt ones I wore in jr high. Boobs count for something, don't they? Whatever, it's been a stoopid bad week and no one likes me and I'm going to go eat worms now. I DID take a couple of positive steps this afternoon. AND, believe it or not, Mike spoke up on my behalf for the first time in 22 years. He did!!!! All by himself!!!!! That makes me so happy. At least, the very most important person in my life is on my side. Just had to get that out of my system. It would be weird if I wore a sign on my clothes that said "Be my friend" right???? - don't answer that. Even I know that would be weird. But, after this week, I might do it anyway. If I do, I'll let you know how it turns out.
My son, Tim, is taking the pictures and editing them for me. I think he's up to "M" on the scents, but descriptions and the "buy" buttons are finally up to date. If you're a soap-y kind of person, there is a lot of good stuff on the site right now. If you're not, you've probably moved on. And that's ok. Soapy people, look for more changes and updates soon!
